We live, we learn and we grow
We try to pave a safe path on which to go
We learn from the past and every mistake
And learn to adapt with every step we take

With life moving ahead
We try to be well read
So that we can make it through
As each day we start anew

As we grow
We learn to let go
Of the things we used to be
And we become independent and free

Each day, we try to pave the way
To have a brighter day
So we look back at the past and every mistake
And are careful with every step we take

We leave what was in the past
We learn when to run fast
And make new friends
And we form better bonds over the curvy bends

As we grow
We need to know
That the past has made us who we are today
And that from that past we can walk away

From looking at the past and every mistake
We’re cautious with each step we take
We learn to know who you can trust completely
And who to walk away from neatly

We form friendships that will last every day of life
We learn who to count on through the worst strife
We grow and become better and brighter than before
And aren’t afraid to open a new door.
